Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6) U17 Prep
Part way through the first, Gavin Quennelle (2G, 2A) got RHA Winnipeg on the scoresheet with the opening tally. Quennelle would also snag the second goal in the early stages of the second, keeping RHA Winnipeg ahead even after Jackson Tetreault (1G, 1A) got NAX on the board. To close out the frame, Brady Keith (2G, 1A) would net two to further extend RHA Winnipeg’s lead. Come the third, it was Knox Burton (2G, 1A) securing a pair of goals to lock in RHA Winnipeg’s grip on this game, ultimately taking this one 6-3. Brady Robert (49/52) played a big part in RHA Winnipeg’s triumph, making 49-saves through sixty.
Stanstead College (3) vs Ontario Hockey Academy (0) East U17
Emanuel Ganz got Stanstead on the board a mere 69-seconds into play, setting the tone for the Spartans. Stanstead would also go on to outshoot OHA 22-3. Come the second, Zsombor Galambos and Alexis Lavoie would add to Stanstead’s lead, giving them a comfortable 3-0 advantage. From here on out, Stanstead would carry that lead to the very end. Jonas Murrer (15/15) collected 15-saves for the shutout while Griffin Fitzpatrick (62/65) made a formidable 62-saves in the losing effort.
OHA Edmonton (5) vs Notre Dame (6) U15 Prep
OHA Edmonton couldn’t have asked for a better start, up 3-0 in the opening ten minutes. The first would end with OHA Edmonton up 4-1 thanks to a late goal from Steven Leavitt (1G, 1A) after Notre Dame scraped back one. Come the second, Josh Frazer was able to extend their lead once again. Coltin Barrington was able to snag back one for Notre Dame before the end of the frame. In a wild turn of events, Notre Dame came out the gates swinging in the third despite the 5-2 deficit. Davian Ferland opened the scoring, popping the water bottle off the net to get the Hounds to within two. Later in the frame, a solo rush from Jack Carter (1G, 1A) inched Notre Dame even closer. OHA Edmonton held on for the next few minutes. However, Mika Richard would bang home a loose puck in front, tying things up with 25-seconds left on the clock. Off the next faceoff, Notre Dame would dump one in and after an error behind the net, Duke Lesnar (1G, 2A) would pounce on the puck in front, giving Notre Dame the lead and the game winning goal for their first win of the regular season. Hudson Pooler (35/40) was in goal for the Hounds, making 11-key saves in the third to help propel Notre Dame to this milestone victory.
Delta Hockey Academy Green (2) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4) Female U18 Prep
First period goals from Linnea Misner and Callie Rice (2G) saw RHA Kelowna lead 2-0 after 20. Delta Green would flip the script in the second as Molly Cole (2G) scored twice to level the score going into the third. Rice would add a power play goal 9:34 into the third, scoring the eventual game winner. Kennedy Sisson added a goal in the final minute and Jaya Schippel (21/23) finished with 21 saves as RHA Kelowna defeated Delta Green 4-2. Maisie Cope (33/37) made 33 saves in the loss.
Balmoral Hall School (5) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (2) Female U18 Prep
Sydney Stibbard got RHA Winnipeg off to a dream start, scoring only 28-seconds into play to establish the initial lead. However, halfway through the first, Makenna Williment (3G, 1A) would put Balmoral Hall on the scoresheet, making things tied by the end of the first. Balmoral Hall would take control in the second, scoring three unanswered. Williment would complete her hat-trick while Maddie Kaiser (2G, 1A) scored a shorthanded goal. Kaiser would add another to Balmoral’s lead to kick off the third. Rowyn Street would add one more to RHA Winnipeg’s total in the end, but still fell 5-2 in the end.
Indigenous Sports Academy (3) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (6) U17 Prep
Clemens Pfeifer scored his first of the season and Collin Friedrich (2G) added his seventh to give Pilot Mound the early lead. Easton Bauer scored a power play goal early in the second to get ISA on the board but Jack Perrier (2G) restored the two goal lead just 55 seconds later. Karson Ledoux would make it a one score game heading into the third period as he scored midway through the game. Gavin Noseworthy, Perrier and Friedrich scored three straight to start the third as PMHA pulled away. Chaunde Jack (1G, 1A) would score a consolation goal with 10 seconds left.
BWC Academy (4) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (3) U17
After a scoreless first, Jay Nooney (2G) scored on the power play to give CDA their only lead of the game. Jaxen McFegan (2G) tied the game less than four minutes later with a power play goal of his own. Kijin Cho (1G, 1A) gave BWC Academy the lead 4:55 into the third period with his seventh of the season. McFegan and Siwoo Lee (1G, 1A) added goals of their own as BWC Academy looked to pull away in the third. Nooney responded for CDA 51 seconds later and Keele Deuling found the back of the net 2:24 later as CDA made a late push but Liam Kellett (34/37) finished with 34 saves to secure the BWC Academy 4-3 win. Morgan Hyndman (35/39) made 35 saves in the loss.
BWC Academy (2) vs Yale Hockey Academy (5) U17 Prep
Each team fired 40 shots on net but it was Carson Lang (38/40) who outduelled Jeevin Sandhu (35/39) to give Yale the 5-2 win. Kessler Hauser (1G, 1A) and Matteo Di Stefano (3G) scored 50 seconds apart late in the first as Yale led 2-0 after 20. Oleksii Zhekov hit double digit goals early in the second but Maxx Trites (1G, 1A) responded for Yale just 24 seconds later. Declan Iacoviello brought BWC Academy back within one late in the second period with his sixth goal of the season. Di Stefano doubled the lead with a power play goal early in the third and then completed the hat-trick with an empty netter with 54 seconds left on the clock.
Stanstead College (2/OT) vs Ontario Hockey Academy (1) East U18
Kamyl Chemrouk scored the lone first period goal with 1:52 remaining on the clock as Stanstead grabbed the initial lead. Danny Kananga responded 4:14 into the second with his fifth goal of the season. Jacob Leblanc (37/38) and Oliver Kiraly (37/39) kept clean sheets in the third period to send the game to overtime where an OHA penalty gave Stanstead a power play. Oliver Plante would capitalise on the power play, scoring his second goal of the season to give Stanstead the 2-1 win.
Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4) U18 Prep
RHA Kelowna did the majority of the damage in the first as Brady Walker, Benjamin Bowtell (1G, 1A) and Aidan Fisher (1G, 2A) all found the back of the net. Nick Roy scored the lone second period goal as Wenatchee clawed within two. Marcus Sadovia (1G, 1A) put the game out of reach in the third period as RHA Kelowna secured a 4-1 win. Louis Gu (13/14) and Nathaniel Madrigal (29/33) were in net for their respective teams.
Shawnigan Lake School (2) vs Delta Hockey Academy (6) U17 Prep
Delta scored the first five goals of the game en route to a 6-2 win Saturday. Noah Cook (1G, 1A) and Luke Anderson (1G, 1A) scored in the first, Jack Morgan (2G, 1A) had the lone second period goal, and Kishan Saggu and Morgan scored 1:04 apart early in the third. Ryder Kerr would get Shawnigan on the board less than two minutes later, beating Matthew Wong (18/20) for his eighth of the season. Andy Kim (1G, 1A) quickly replied for Delta before Callum Starnes added a late Shawnigan consolation goal. Stefan Kostin (53/59) faced 59 shots in the loss.
STAR Hockey Academy (4) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) U15 Prep
In the CSSHL Featured Game of the Day it was the special teams units telling the story of the game. STAR opened the lead when a Tommy Ogee point shot on the power play found the back of the net. OHA would tie the game with a power play goal of their own late in the period when Gage Mark (1G, 1A) scored from a sharp angle. Ryder Young gave OHA their first lead of the game when he pounced on a rebound for his team’s second power play goal of the game. Brysten Campbell would get an OHA penalty shot shortly after but Erik Sims (28/30) closed the five-hole just in time to keep it a one goal game. Graham Gerritz would tie the game late in the second when a loose puck found him in the slot while his team was shorthanded. Braxton Baker scored the game winner 1:01 into the third, on the power play, as his point shot off the face-off deceived Maddox Slater (25/29) and beat him glove side. Levi Ellingsen (1G, 1A) would draw a late penalty shot for STAR but was unable to beat Slater to extend the lead. But Ellingsen got his revenge, scoring an empty netter with 24 seconds left to clinch the STAR victory.
Indigenous Sports Academy (3) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (7) U18 Prep
William Picklyk (2G, 1A) scored twice and Brenden Reeve (1G, 1A) once as Pilot Mound was up 3-0 12:31 in. Jaden Prairie Chicken got ISA on the board three minutes later but Michael Tracy responded for PMHA exactly two minutes after that. Austin Polonoski (1G, 2A) added a power play goal early in the second while Leonardo Begery scored his first as Pilot Mound held a commanding 6-1 lead. Logan Alexis and Caelen Cross (1G, 1A) would score less than two minutes apart to cut into the lead before the second ended. Caleb DeBruyne scored the lone third period goal for Pilot Mound as they earned a 7-3 win.
Kuper Academy (5) vs Selwyn House School (2) East U17
In their first ever CSSHL game Gianluca Velenosi opened the scoring Selwyn House. Kareem Baig-Mirza (1G, 1A) tied the game less than three minutes later with a power play goal. Luca Guadagnino (2G) gave Kuper the lead 31 seconds into the second and doubled the lead seven minutes later. Aadi Patel added a power play goal 34 seconds into the third as Kuper looked to run away with the game. But Tommy Nicolopoulos countered shortly after with a power play goal of his own to give Selwyn House life. Ultimately, Kuper would welcome Selwyn House to the CSSHL by adding a Michael Paliotti goal with under a minute left to secure a 5-2 victory.

Tavian Barnes (1G, 3A) and Atley Feniuk (2G, 1A) scored 43 seconds apart early in the first as RHA Winnipeg led 2-0 after 20. Seth Kshyk (1G, 2A) scored 1:48 into the second for NAX in what turned into a chaotic period. Tyson Vandesype scored 1:59 later and Murphy Johnston 2:12 after that as RHA Winnipeg was up 4-1. Jacob Collins cut into the deficit 54 seconds later before the game managed to go five minutes without a goal. Oliver Campbell (1G, 1A) and Cassius McDonald traded power play goals before Casey Mitschke (1G, 1A) and Feniuk added goals in the final three minutes of the second for RHA Winnipeg. Kagan Power (1G, 2A) and Cole Ewonchuk traded goals in the third to round out the scoring. Grayson McDonald (20/24) and Parker Sneazwell (39/47) were in net for their respective teams.
BWC Academy (5) vs STAR Hockey Academy (2) U15
Ryker Carson scored the lone first period goal as BWC Academy grabbed a 1-0 lead. Nathan DaSilva (2G) scored 29 seconds into the second and again late in the period, while Ryder Bui (1G, 1A) scored a goal sandwiched in between, to extend the BWC Academy lead to 4-0. Riley O’Brien (2G) got STAR on the board when he beat Tyson Oake (37/39) late in the second. He would score again in the third on the power play but Wyatt Lowther put the game to bed less than two minutes later. Cameron Rusyniak (28/33) faced 33 shots in the loss.
North Shore Warriors (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5) U15
First period markers from Trent Keenan (1G, 2A) and Cooper deWal (1G, 1A) gave RHA Kelowna a 2-0 advantage over North Shore. Easton Fowler beat Griffin Prairie Chicken (35/38) 4:16 into the second to get North Shore on the board. Kyle Schierling restored the two goal lead with 2:02 left in the frame. Keegan Hole countered for North Shore 38 seconds later, though RHA Kelowna had a response 23 seconds after that as Reed Witham scored his sixth of the season. Edward Burrows scored his first of the season 3:06 into the third to give North Shore life but Oliver Peck (1G, 2A) ended any comeback hopes with 1:17 left on the clock.
Shawnigan Lake School (12) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (0) Female U18 Prep
Defenseman Lola Macuiba (3G, 3A) paced the Shawnigan offence with six points in a 12-0 win. Alix Walchuk (14/14) made 14 saves to earn the shutout while Grace Cooper (5A) and Meera Smith (2G, 3A) each chipped in with five point games.
STAR Hockey Academy (6) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (4) U17 Prep
Adrian Afrakov (2G, 1A) scored twice for STAR and Chase Pouchnik countered for CDA as it was a 2-1 game heading into the second. STAR would score four straight in the first 8:26 of the second as Max Carpenter (1G, 1A), Anderson Carter and Zak Stabbler (2G, 2A) all found the back of the net. CDA refused to go away quietly as Matthew Latscha (1G, 1A) and Akira Ota each scored before the end of the period. Jackson Dunn scored with 36 seconds left in the game but it was nothing more than a consolation goal as STAR earned a 6-4 win. Daniel Jr Peebles (30/34) was in net for STAR in the victory.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4) vs St. George’s School (0) U17 Prep
Asher Netherton (33/33) made 33 saves to lead RHA Kelowna to a 4-0 shutout victory of St. George’s. RHA Kelowna fired 15 shots at Les Toth (59/63) in the first but was unable to beat him. They would continue to fire the puck in the second, scoring four times on 26 shots. Hudson Podollan (1G, 2A) broke through 8:42 into the second and Colton Deschamps (1G, 1A) added another goal 27 seconds later. Jack Brown (1G, 1A) and Brody Bradshaw (1G, 1A) added late second period markers to round out the scoring. RHA Kelowna would fire 22 more shots at Toth in the third but was unable to add to their lead as the game ended 4-0 in their favour.
Edge School (3) vs OHA Edmonton (10) U17 Prep
10th ranked OHA Edmonton put up 10 goals on sixth ranked Edge in a 10-3 win Saturday. Edge got off to a hot start as Ashton McCann and Chase McNamara (2G) scored two straight to open the game. Logan Miller (2G, 1A) got OHA Edmonton on the board 52 seconds later with a shorthanded goal, shifting the tide as his team would score nine straight goals. Keenan Fox (3G, 2A) paced the OHA Edmonton offence while Jevyn Singh Gill (3A) and Jaggar John (2G, 1A) each added three points.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (6) U17
In a rematch of yesterday’s OT thriller, RHA Kelowna came out victorious once again. Maximilian Koppel scored the lone first period goal and Griffin Hoy (2G, 2A) added to the lead 1:08 into the second. Lucan Kostiuk (1G, 1A) did have a quick response for OHA as he got his team on the board 1:50 later. Bennett Macek (2G, 1A) countered for RHA Kelowna with two straight and Tate Serfas added his fifth of the season. Cole Schellenberg cut into the lead late in the second period and a Jaxson Bartsch goal early in the third gave OHA comeback aspirations. But Hoy had different plans, finding the back of the net with 2:12 remaining to double the RHA Kelowna lead in what ended as a 6-3 game. William Stewart (23/26) and Alex Youngson (22/27) were in net for their respective teams.
Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (2) vs North Shore Warriors (6) U17 Prep
Jaden Brackett gave North Shore an early 1-0 lead but Wenatchee led 2-1 after 20 as Tyler Stefani and Cooper Miller found the back of the net. From there it was all North Shore as Chase Vossenaar (1G, 1A) tied the game 1:26 into the second before Christopher Mah (2G) scored two straight to close out the period. Robert Orr (1G, 1A) and Santino Esposito added goals late in the third to round out the scoring and complete the comeback. Ethan Suhr (42/44) and Keagan Bradshaw (42/48) each made 42 saves in the game.
