11 former Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes have been selected to represent their country at the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, set for August 11-16 in Brno, Czechia and Trencin, Slovakia.
Nine CSSHL alumni will represent Team Canada while another two will suit-up for Team USA. The 9 CSSHL alumni on Team Canada represent 36% (9/25) of the roster and 82% (9/11) of Western Canadian born players.
The nine former CSSHL student-athletes named to Team Canada for the Hlinkza Gretzky Cup are:

Carels, Lin, Rudolph and Verhoeff won a gold medal with Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 Team at the 2025 IIHF U18 Men’s World Championship. Lin, Pantelas, Preston, Liam Ruck, Markus Ruck, Rudolph, and Verhoeff won gold with Canada White at the 2024 U17 World Challenge.
