Ontario Hockey Academy (7) vs Mount Academy (5) East U17 Prep
After falling to OHA in their last two meetings, Mount Academy had the early step on Sunday after Mitchell Goodine buried his third of the season. However, that Mount goal ignited a spark in OHA as they would go on to score the next five unanswered leading into the third period. Mount would score the first two in the third making this a two goal game, but OHA’s Mykta Staskevych (1G, 1A) would bury an empty netter. However, Mount would go on to secure two more following the EN goal, including Cache Smith (2G, 1A) ripping one top shelf for Mount’s fifth.
Ulysse Academie (7) vs King’s Edgehill School (3) East U18 Prep
Dylan MacAvoy ignited the scoring early for King’s Edgehill but Ulysse would promptly follow up with two to end the period in front. A quiet second would follow with only one goal coming off the stick of Alex Graveline (2G, 2A) off a rebound in front. The scoring would open up in the third as Ulysse would bat home another four goals, ending this contest 7-3. Graveline and Xavier Duchesneau (2G, 2A) would each acquire a pair of goals and assists in the victory.
STAR Hockey Academy (0) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (9) U15
Outscoring STAR 33-2 in their previous two meetings, Coeur d’Alene was unable to reach double digits in this contest but still served a 9-0 victory over their rivals from Washington. Jagger Clark (2G) and Easton Crouch (2G) would also each pot a pair while Harrison Dalton (28/28) made 28 saves for the shutout.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (0) vs Delta Hockey Academy (9) U15 Prep
RHA Kelowna got the best of Delta on their home turf in Saturday’s matchup, overcoming their offensive firepower with a shootout victory. However, Delta was able to bounce back strong against their interior rivals, scoring nine times to put yesterday’s loss behind them. Eli Vickers (1G, 2A) acquired another three points, further cementing himself as a top prospect for the upcoming 2026 WHL Draft while Carsten Patrick (2G, 1A) scored his first multi-goal game of the season. Jace Zemanek (25/25) was in goal for Delta, making 25 saves for the shutout.
Delta Hockey Academy (10) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep
Only three Delta skaters missed out on the scoresheet in their dominant 10-2 victory over Wenatchee to close out their weekend. Brady Oatman (2G, 3A) may be at the bottom of the scoresheet, wearing number 92, but his five point outing put him on top in terms of scoring. Colton Brum (2G, 2A) would also manage to acquire a pair of goals and assists while Otto Puhakka (3A) and Ewan Torrance (3A) each chipped in three helpers. Jacobi Magnotta (1G, 1A) and Rylan O’Mahony scored the two goals for Wenatchee.
Calgary International Hockey Academy (2) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (7) U15 Prep
After Sebastian Morgan opened the scoring just over a minute into play, the offense would take a dip in the opening twenty. Morgan’s third of the season put NAX ahead 1-0 through one. NAX would pick up the pace in the second after being granted some powerplay opportunities with Danel Ramazanov (1G, 2A) and Brady Leinenweber scoring back-to-back goals on the man advantage. Gavin Van Brabant would later add NAX’s fourth before Cohen St. Louis got Calgary IHA on the scoresheet with a powerplay goal of his own. However, NAX’s Emmett Abel would score just over a minute later, restoring their four goal lead. Early in the third Calgary IHA showed some life and were rewarded with a shorthanded goal from Kai Dingwall. NAX would bounce back after surrendering their second, amping up the pressure eventually leading to Justin Castonguay’s (2G) fifth of the season off a fast break with Ramazanov. Castonguay would add his second in the final minute of play on a power move down low before rifling one past Ty Tunke (37/44).
STAR Hockey Academy (7) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (6) U17
STAR may have surrendered the first goal in this matchup, but they would have the last laugh by the end of the frame, scoring three unanswered to establish a 3-1 lead into the second. However, CDA would fire back in the second as STAR found themselves in penalty trouble. Blake Celski (2G) and Trevor Johnson would score back-to-back on the man advantage for CDA. Just after Johnson’s goal, Aaron Comer would restore STAR’s lead, once again giving them the lead into the intermission. STAR would finally get the start to a period they were looking for, scoring twice thanks to Seve Paladino (2G, 2A) and Camden Freeman. Despite the early set back, CDA wasn’t going anywhere just yet as Logan Madrid (2G, 1A and Mitch Wells (1G, 1A) brought them back to within one in the late stages of the third. With the empty net, Deacon Wilson would restore STAR’s two goal lead. But that would go on to be the game winner as Madrid would strike late for CDA once more, just falling short in a nailbiter between the Idaho-Washington rivals.
South Alberta Hockey Academy (3) vs Edge School (5) Female U18 Prep
Lila Deis deflected home the opening goal of this matchup, giving Edge School the early lead. However, Jaylee Skog would rifle one home from down low after collecting her own rebound from an earlier blocked shot, making things 1-1 by intermission. After some early penalty trouble from Edge in the second, Hallie Parada would strike for SAHA, giving them their first lead of the match. Edge School would find their sense of urgency soon after SAHA’s second as they would score four unanswered leading into the third. Sara Hettle would score shorthanded while Aoife Scase went end-to-end for her first of the year. Sara Stefanic would get one back for SAHA in the third, but it was too little too late. Alexis Ehrman (21/24) picked up the W in goal, steering aside 21 shots.
BWC Academy (6) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (1) U15
Alex Iaichkin (2G, 1A) continues his hot start to the season with three points in the first period, establishing BWC Academy a 3-0 lead through one. Pavel Morozov would extend that lead to 4-0 only 69-seconds into the second before Max Chen would get OHA on the scoresheet. However, BWC Academy would keep the offense coming as Cooper McBride and Nolan Gallagher (1G, 1A) would restore BWC Academy’s advantage. The scoring would take a hiatus in the third as BWC Academy would take their 6-1 lead into the sunset.
BWC Academy (1) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (5) U17
After falling 8-5 in yesterday’s matchup, PCHA cleaned up their act and showed an all-around display of dominance over BWC Academy. Easton Coupland may have nabbed the first goal for BWC Academy, but the Sea Devils would come alive in the second with two powerplay goals. Caden Sugiyama (1G, 1A) would open the scoring before Jackson Squire (2G, 1A) scored twice in 17-seconds to extend PCHA’s lead. Blake Bidney would close the scoring in the second with said second powerplay goal. A quiet third would follow, but Hudson Elke (1G, 1A) would add PCHA’s third powerplay goal of the morning to post a 5-1 win over BWC Academy. Oliver Boniface (27/28) stopped 27 shots in the winning effort.
North Shore Warriors (0) vs Delta Hockey Academy Green (4) Female U18 Prep
Camryn Shiels opened the scoring for Delta Green shorthanded after finding herself on a clearcut breakaway. Soon after, Gabriella Lee (2G) would wire home her sixth of the season to put Delta Green up by a pair. Delta Green would control the offense in the second having four powerplay opportunities and outshooting North Shore 25-5 but couldn’t sneak another past Haylie Hedges (55/59). Delta Green would find twine again in the third with Lee burying her second from the same spot and Emma Kohl tallying her fifth of the campaign. Ella Dunham-Fox (18/18) recorded 18 saves in the shutout while Hedges posted 55 saves in a valiant effort for the Warriors.
Calgary International Hockey Academy (3) vs Notre Dame Hounds (1) U17 Prep
Heading into this weekend, Calgary International Hockey Academy’s U17 Prep squad had only played one game this season, but come their first three-in-three this season, they looked as if they were in midseason form. Wins over Indigenous Sports Academy and Prairie Hockey Academy coming in to Sunday against Notre Dame. Notre Dame were improving their performances coming in, with three tight losses in the last three games helping the Hounds closer and closer to their first victory of the season. Notre Dame started well and led 1-0 by the game’s halfway point, but come crunch time, CIHA produced a pair of goals from Rylan Wood and Kash Codd. After allowing a goal three and a half minutes into the game, CIHA’s Taylor Green (27/28) shut the door from there, making every save he needed to make, setting the foundation for his team to come from behind and win 3-1.
Edge School (10) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (1) U17 Prep
Edge School’s U17 Prep squad have been a force throughout the early stages of the season, winning six of seven to kick their season off heading into Sunday. Unfortunately for Indigenous Sports Academy, nothing was going to stand in Edge’s way. Jacob Kuntz scored two as part of his six-point performance, and Luke McGuire’s (2G, 1A) two first-period goals launched Edge into an early lead that ISA couldn’t come close to. Edge prevailed 10-1, and despite the wide margin of victory, Delano Pockar still had 30 shots to face, making 29 saves.
Delta Hockey Academy (8) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (4) U18 Prep
Delta Hockey Academy dominated the first period of play, and while the following forty minutes would be significantly more even, the damage done by Delta early nullified the valiant efforts at a comeback from the Wenatchee Wild. Five straight DHA wins came to an end last Sunday against the North Shore Warriors, but a victory last night against St. George’s School got Delta back in the win column. Jack Morgan (2G, 2A) and Luke Anderson (2G, 1A) noticed a pair apiece, and while the score ended 8-4, DHA underwent some stress; Three consecutive goals for Wenatchee had them within two goals in the third period, with Delta’s lead cut to 6-4, before a goal apiece each from Morgan and Anderson propelled them four goals in front.
South Alberta Hockey Academy (6) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) U17 Prep
By the end of the first period in Sunday’s South Alberta Hockey Academy vs Northern Alberta Xtreme U17 Prep game, it didn’t seem many would have expected SAHA to get a result out of their second straight head-to-head against NAX. Saturday’s opener ended in a 5-3 NAX victory, and after Northern Alberta scored twice Sunday within the first three minutes of the game, it seemed unlikely SAHA would find a way back. Whatever spark was lit in between the first and second periods turned into a fire within the SAHA group, with Southern Albertan hitting the ground running, scoring 34 seconds into the period. SAHA outshot NAX 16-5 in the second, helping them cut the lead in half heading into the third period. The barrage of SAHA pressure wouldn’t find them the lead in the second, but come the third, they’d finally break through. Dailn Nixon (2G, 1A) notched his first two goals of the season, with SAHA not only coming from behind to win, but scoring four third-period goals to defeat NAX 6-3.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (2) vs OHA Edmonton (7) Female U18 Prep
OHA Edmonton’s Female U18 Prep squad have been on an absolute roll so far this season. After a tough start, NAX had won two of their last three games, but ultimately, they fell at the way of every previous challenger to OHA Edmonton so far this season. Both Riley Cooper (1G, 2A) and Avery Sam (1G, 1A) have been producing at an excellent rate all season. They scored early first-period goals, and wouldn’t be done there, with Cooper now up to nine goals and 26 points and Sam up to 11 goals and 18 points, both in nine games apiece. Jocelyn Bodnar (1G, 2A) also popped up with three points to help OHAE to a 7-2 win, now extending their win streak to nine to start the season.
Prairie Hockey Academy (4) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (5) U15
Calgary International Hockey Academy and Prairie Hockey Academy battled out a Saturday game that saw CIHA prevail 6-3, so come Sunday, CIHA were faced by a PHA side who came in on a three-game skid since their win over CIHA on October 3. Calgary led 4-1 late in the second period on Sunday, with two more goals from Benjamin Vialaneix helping them open up a three-goal advantage. Whether it be the Prairie effort at a bounce-back or CIHA switching off, Prairie found their way back into the game. Deklan Street had four goals and six points through eight games coming into Sunday, but after he scored early in the second, Street would provide the primary assist for David Osiowy’s (1G, 2A) goal at the end of the period. Come the third, Street remained the driver of Prairie’s offence, and in less than two minutes, he scored two more goals to complete his hat-trick. The four points from Street had dragged PHA back to level terms, but unfortunately for Prairie, the tie wouldn’t last. Rhett Davis scored 35 seconds after Street had tied the game, and while PHA kept pushing from there, Davis’ goal proved to be the difference-maker to propel CIHA to the 5-4 win.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (7) vs North Shore Warriors (1) U17
The North Shore Warriors had no reason to be concerned in the first two and a half minutes of the game that things would get out of hand. Hunter Frank had opened the scoring 91 seconds into the game for North Shore, but after taking a penalty, Kaden Ebbett (2G) struck on the man advantage. At 1-1, both Okanagan Hockey Academy and North Shore had every reason to believe this could be their game. The two teams had fought out a 1-0 win for Okanagan Saturday night, but unfortunately for the Warriors, OHA found their offensive touch. OHA scored three more before the first period had even ceased, and following that, things wouldn’t get any easier for North Shore. Four points from Grayson Holmes (1G, 3A) helped cap off an eventual 7-1 OHA win.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (5) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (3) U18 Prep
One of the rarest outcomes in hockey occurred in Saturday night’s game between Okanagan Hockey Academy and Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy’s U18 Prep squads; a game in which both goaltenders earned a shutout. Bennett Byers was the hero for Coeur d’Alene, with 57 saves in 65 minutes, followed by three in the shootout to help his team to that 1-0 shootout win. OHA faced down Byers again on Sunday, but this time, they found a way through early. Landon Nagle (2G, 2A) and Eli Tverdovsky (2G, 1A) scored a goal apiece in both the first and the second periods, and through forty minutes, OHA looked set with a 4-1 lead. CDA would fight back in the third, but couldn’t get close enough, and OHA prevailed 5-3.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (2) vs Edge School (4) U17
The Northern Alberta Stream U17 squad looked very close to finally besting their Edge School opponents on Sunday. In the final game of their three-in-three, with Edge prevailing in both of the previous two, NAX’s chances looked promising to finally notch a victory. Just past the halfway point of the third period, Lucas Morin scored for NAX to tie the game at two, with Northern Alberta heading down the stretch one goal away from taking the lead. Unfortunately, less than three minutes after Morin’s goal, a pair of NAX penalties gave Edge School the chance on a five-on-three, which they’d take. Easton Armstrong (1G, 1A) gave Edge their lead back, and once NAX’s power-play chance came around, Edge would prevail again. Following up the powerplay goal, Ben MacBey (1G, 1A) scored the dagger shorthanded to help Edge sweep the weekend series.
BWC Academy (5/SO) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (4) U15 Prep
After BWC Academy’s win on Saturday, the Okanagan Hockey Academy U15 Prep squad looked incredibly keen on avenging the loss with a victory on Sunday. Their chances at a bounce-back result were looking excellent early. After Wyatt Lowther (2A) took a spearing penalty, OHA, already a goal up, took advantage with two goals on the ensuing power play. An evenly-fought second period saw Burnaby notch a goal back through Logan Chang (1G, 1A), but with six minutes left in the third, OHA’s 3-1 lead would indicate BWC was heading towards their third loss of October. However, Kristian Lima (2G) and Ryder Bui (1G, 1A) would score 48 seconds apart to tie the game at three. The final minute saw two more plot twists; Isaac Zeeman (1G, 1A) struck with 57 seconds on the clock to give OHA another lead, one they’d need to protect for less than a minute. Lima, however, would pop up again, and with 27 seconds to play, BWC had come back to tie the game again. The BWC scorers were potent come the shootout, scoring three of four, with the winner coming from Ethan Kartadinata to help BWC to an improbable shootout win.
Yale Hockey Academy (0) vs Shawnigan Lake School (4) U18 Prep
Yale Hockey Academy’s loss on Sunday was by no means due to a lack of offensive opportunities. Following a loss Saturday, Yale looked to Sunday for a bounce-back, but at every turn, Shawnigan Lake School’s Stefan Kostin was there, eventually making 40 saves in a shutout victory. Shawnigan’s win wasn’t thanks to Kristin alone, with Shawnigan finding the back of the net four times, led by a goal and an assist in the second period from Wylie Wen.
OHA Edmonton (3) vs Notre Dame Hounds (4) U17
The Notre Dame Hounds had won both of their previous two games in the U17 division heading into Sunday, most recently on Friday over the same OHA Edmonton opponent they’d beaten. Notre Dame was kept in the game on Sunday by Hudson Pooler through twenty minutes, with Pooler making 24 saves in the first twenty minutes, seemingly entirely dominated by OHAE. The second period saw both teams split the offensive chances in half, with both teams scoring two goals, including a powerplay goal apiece, to send the game into the third period time. Come the third, Dominik Chartrand played hero. He would score his first two goals of the season in the third, first to give Notre Dame a 3-2 lead, before later scoring on the power play to break a 3-3 tie. That goal stood as the game winner, and Notre Dame prevailed, thanks to both Chartrand’s pair and Hudson Pooler’s 44 saves on 47 shots.
North Shore Warriors (3) vs St. George’s School (5) U15 Prep
St. George’s School have been on a tear through the U15 Prep division since they lost their opener to BWC, and after a Friday night win over the North Shore Warriors, they looked like a confident side heading into the second half of the back-to-back head-to-head matchups. North Shore’s wait for their first victory in the U15 Prep division, unfortunately for them, continued in quite the painful manner. A pair of power-play goals saw North Shore two up early in the second period, with that cushion one they’d have hoped would be enough to beat St. George’s. However, that wasn’t the case. Hudson Lesk (1G, 1A) pulled St. George’s back within one, and come the third period, two goals in less than three minutes turned the game around, with Nick Hill’s (1G, 2A) goal giving St. George’s the lead and standing as the game winner.
Shawnigan Lake School (2) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) U15 Prep
Shawnigan Lake School led twice on Sunday against Pacific Coast Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep side. Both times they did, however, Jason Thomson (2G) would score to tie the game up. Going into the third, the game was tied and wide open, and PCHA took the bull by the horns. PCHA controlled the bulk of play, outshooting SLS 14-8 in the third, and notched a goal from Ryder Acland to take their first lead of the game. That ended up being the only lead they’d need, and PCHA prevailed 3-2.
