Delta Hockey Academy White (10) vs Notre Dame Hounds (2) U15
Jayden Ni (1G, 1A) got the ball rolling for Delta White early, picking up his tenth on the season. Delta White continued to pour on the offence, scoring another five unanswered, including two from Ryder Pavlic (3G, 1A). Jax Baumuller put Notre Dame on the board in the second and was quickly followed by Manav Bhathal. However, Delta White resumed their offence shortly after. Pavlic would go on to secure his hat-trick while Jake Dunlop (1G, 3A) racked up four-points on the morning.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (4) vs Notre Dame Hounds (3) U17
Joe Wakabyashi (2G) granted Notre Dame the early lead through twenty. PCHA and ND would trade goals early in the second but a pair from PCHA’s Nolan Ganter and Rhys Wilcox (2G) put them ahead after two. In the third, PCHA’s Collin Lee (1G, 2A) extended the lead to two but was quickly matched by Wakabyashi late in the frame. PCHA would hold on despite a hard push from Notre Dame. Eliott Horner (32/35) picked up the win in goal, stopping 32-shots in the process.
Delta Hockey Academy (4) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (5) U17
Delta managed to string together a lead into the third thanks to the efforts from Lincoln Arkinstall, Ewan Torrance and the steady goaltending of Blake Langdon (35/40). However, RHA Winnipeg found their groove in the third with an early game-tying goal from Reese Scott. Jack Triance would put Delta ahead once again with a quick response but that didn’t count RHA Winnipeg out just yet. The Winnipeg-based squad would reply with a pair of goals off the sticks of Liam Harvey (1G, 1A) and Atticus Cruz (2G), giving them their first lead of the match. Delta’s Santiago Skinner would make things even once again with another quick response, looking to send this match into overtime. However, with 1:52 left on the clock, Riley Bouillon would manage to sneak one more past Langdon, enough to clinch the win over Delta. Zaiden McDonald-Horvath (23/27) picked up the win between the pipes for RHA Winnipeg.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (1) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) U17
In the early stages of the first, Jackson Curle and Braeden Malenchak (1G, 1A) got NAX started with a two goal advantage. After the scoring took a hiatus in the second and with RHA Kelowna’s perfect record on the line, Nixon Whieldon would get his team on the board with an early marker in the third. However, Jacob Collins would restore NAX’s two goal lead with the eventual insurance goal. NAX would ride this game into the sunset, upsetting RHA Kelowna 4-1. Lenox Alanen (28/29) came just one save shy of the shutout, spoiling RHA Kelowna’s 11-0-0 record.
BWC Academy (11) vs Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg (2) U15
Zachary Haney got RHA Winnipeg started off on the right foot with a powerplay goal just under five-minutes into play, but BWC Academy would come back swinging scoring six-unanswered over the next forty minutes. BWC Academy would go on to outscore RHA Winnipeg 5-to-1 in the final frame for an 11-2 victory. Jack Davison (2G, 2A), Wyatt Lowther (2G, 2A) and Theo Falk (1G, 3A) all picked up four-point performances in the dominating win while Jordan Bigelow (38/40) provided a strong 38-save outing in the crease.
Fairmont Hockey (7) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) U17
Fairmont’s offence was too hot to handle from the get go, scoring four-unanswered in the first period alone. Coeur D’Alene had an uphill battle entering the second, surrendering one more early to Fairmont’s Jonathan Zhou. Knox Vogel would snag one back for CDA but the deficit they faced was too much to overcome. Fairmont’s Daniel Kim (2G, 1A) and Clarence Liu (2G) would each exit this match with a pair of tallies each while Trevor Hawk (7/9) picked up the quiet win in goal. CDA’s Steven Jones (47/54) faced 54-shots in the loss.
North Shore Warriors (2) vs BWC Academy (3/OT) U17 Prep
In a period that BWC Academy had full momentum, Olesksii Zhekov (2G) was able to pot home the opening goal. North Shore didn’t hold back, tying things up in the second thanks to an early marker from Samuel Shepard. Both teams went to work in the third, with Ryan Fox putting BWC Academy back in the driver’s seat, scoring 3:40 into the frame. It wouldn’t be until late in the game with the goalie pulled where NSW’s Chase Vossenaar (1G, 1A) tied things up, securing at least a point for his club. In overtime, BWC Academy piled on seven shots, one of those being the GWG off the stick of Zhekov for his second of the afternoon, stealing an extra point following the late efforts from NSW. Josh Wu (35/37) played a strong game in his crease, making 35-stops in the OT victory.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (7) vs Delta Hockey Academy (3) U18 Prep
PCHA came flying out of the gates in this contest, popping off for four-unanswered goals in the first period alone. Comox, BC’s Elliott Hill (3G) scored the opening two goals for PCHA. Liam Russell (31/34) also managed to stuff a penalty shot. Delta would get two back in the second but had their chain snapped by Trace Anderson (2G, 1A) scoring with only minutes to go in the frame. Hill would seal up his hat-trick early in the third, cushioning PCHA to a comfortable victory over Delta.
BWC Academy (1) vs Edge School (6) U17
The special teams worked in Edge School’s favour early in this contest as Ben MacBey would tally a shorty while Winston Chicilo scored on the powerplay. Edge would score another quick pair in the second only 29-seconds apart, extending their lead to four. Zack Jones would put BWC Academy on the scoresheet, but Edge would follow with another pair to put this game to rest. Darius Odermatt (1G, 2A), Trent Caines (1G, 2A) and Rylan Saunders (1G, 2A) all acquired three-points in the routine win over BWC Academy.
Yale Hockey Academy (5) vs Notre Dame Hounds (1) U15
Yale’s U15 squad continues their perfect season with a cosy 5-1 win to start off their trip to Manitoba. Yale would score four goals in the latter half of the first period to set the tone early. However, Jax Baumuller would score his second goal of the day right as the buzzer sounded to trim down Notre Dame’s deficit. The scoring would take a break after an active first as only one more goal would find twine through the final forty of this matchup. Luca Tassone (19/20) picked up the W in goal for Yale while Westyn Hlady (55/60) made an astounding 55-stops, including 33 of those in the final two periods of play.
St. Mary’s High School (3) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (2) U17
It took all but 19-seconds for St. Mary’s High School to find the scoresheet thanks to an early effort from Aidan James (2G). Dillon Engelman later added to SMHS’s lead. Scoring would pause in the second but another quick goal from SMHS’s James gave them a 3-0 lead. However, Wenatchee wasn’t holding back. Logan Madrid and Thomas Sachs would cut the deficit to one with time ticking away. SMHS’s Matthew Turpin (11/13) would stay composed in the late stages of the game, shutting down Wenatchee and opening his school’s weekend with the W.
Prairie Hockey Academy (6) vs Notre Dame Hounds (1) U17 Prep
Bryden Wagner (2G) opened the scoring just 26 seconds in and Lucas Romaniuk (2G, 1A) doubled the lead 46 seconds later with the eventual game winning goal. Soren Hayden scored late in the first before a scoreless second period took place. Maksim Bedskikh gave Notre Dame life just 22 seconds into the third but Romaniuk countered with a short handed goal 2:28 later. Wagner and Dane Chalupa scored second half goals to round out the third period scoring.
Edge School (0) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep
Cameron Beisal (34/34) made 34 saves for his first shutout of the season as Prairie blanked Edge 5-0. Kane Domres (2G) scored the game winning goal 2:13 into the first period despite Prairie being outshot 18-6. Prairie added three power play goals in the second with Noah Kelly (1G, 2A) scoring 36 seconds into the period while Benson Hirst and Domres scored later in the period. Hubert Larose (1G, 1A) scored the lone third period goal. Ryley Budd (30/35) made 30 saves in the loss.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (4) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (5) U17 Prep
Pilot Mound led 2-0 after 20 as Collin Friedrich (2G) and Brody Wytinck (1G, 1A) each found the back of the net. Brady Keith scored a power play goal late in the second to get RHA Winnipeg on the board but Friedrich quickly responded for Pilot Mound. Jack Perrier’s first goal of the season 11:08 into the third put PMHA ahead by three. Isaac Sousa scored 58 seconds later, Peyton Thiessen 53 seconds after that, and Knox Burton (1G, 2A) late in the period as RHA Winnipeg evened the score. The two teams seemed destined for overtime but Gavin Noseworthy had other plans, scoring his third goal of the season with six seconds left to give Pilot Mound the 5-4 win.
Shawnigan Lake School (6) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (4) U18 Prep
Keegan Shirley and Ryan Turner scored 49 seconds apart early in the first as Shawnigan raced out to a 2-0 lead. Cameron Kimmerly (3G, 1A) replied for Wenatchee 1:02 later while Ronan Murphy countered for Shawnigan 1:05 after that. Easton Sangris (1G, 2A) and Collin Ubrig traded goals to close out the first. Kimmerly and Koen Gauthier (1G, 1A) traded second period goals as it remained a two goal Shawnigan lead. Kimmerly completed the hat-trick 5:30 into the final frame to bring Wenatchee within one. Turner (2G, 1A) secured the Shawnigan victory with his sixth goal of the season with 5:06 left to play.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (4) vs OHA Edmonton (3) U17
After a scoreless first Kaiden Turta (1G, 1A) opened the scoring 2:53 in for OHA Edmonton with a short handed marker. Rylan Bengert (1G, 1A) briefly tied the game before Hudson Blair restored the lead going into the third. Gage Kiselbach (1G, 1A) and Ollie Halowaty scored 10 seconds apart less than two minutes into the third as OHA grabbed a 3-2 lead. Caiden Osiowy-Mah extended the lead 1:31 later with a power goal. Gabriel Kantor (1G, 1A) brought OHA Edmonton within one with 3:31 remaining but Tyson Kuiack (30/33) finished with 10 third period saves to clinch the OHA win.
North Shore Warriors (4) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (2) U17
Ryder Fitzpatrick (1G, 1A), Kayden Runstedler and Henry Lockhart all scored within the first 12 minutes as North Shore took a commanding 3-0 lead. Eric Helland got Prairie on the board late in the first and Brady Davidson brought his team within one 15:54 into the second. A short handed goal by Joshua Moussadji (1G, 1A) 37 seconds later doubled the North Shore lead going into the third. In the third Kellen Ceraldi (24/26) made 10 saves to secure the 4-2 victory. Colton Lutz (25/29) was charged with the loss.
Indigenous Sports Academy (3) vs OHA Edmonton (6) U17 Prep
The game got off to a hot start as Chaunde Jack (1G, 1A) opened the scoring 41 seconds in for ISA. Jaggar John responded for OHA Edmonton 24 seconds later but the ISA lead was restored 21 seconds after that when Kyler Anderson scored his third of the season. Kai Richards, Keenan Fox (1G, 1A) and Miles Hartmann scored three unanswered in the first for OHA Edmonton as they grabbed a 4-2 lead going into the second. Kolton Ferguson (1G, 1A) scored the lone second period goal on the power play to extend the advantage going into the third. Owen Sinclair scored a power play goal for ISA to kick-off the third but Jevyn Singh Gill replied with a power play goal of his own as OHA Edmonton doubled-up ISA 6-3.
OHA Edmonton (5) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (3) U18 Prep
Nolan Schmidt scored just 19 seconds in and Parker Fitzgerald (1G, 1A) and Calum Giese added goals of their own as OHA Edmonton led 3-0 11:15 into the game. Holden Parada scored late in the first to get ISA on the board. Tayvian Delorme (1G, 1A) brought ISA within one 1:04 into the second but Josh McKague (1G, 1A) replied for OHA Edmonton just 59 seconds later. Braydon Franks and Emery Medicine Shield traded goals in the third to close out the scoring. Ethan Edwards (39/42) and Kael Ratt (51/56) were in net for their respective teams.
Calgary International Hockey Academy (5) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (2) U18 Prep
Noah Milford (2G) scored his first two goals of the season in a span of 37 seconds to give CIHA the lead going into the second. Jacob Balaberda and Kasen Harrold scored 2:35 apart early in the second as CIHA took control of the game. Noah Alexander got SAHA on the board midway through the second. Oliver Kramp (1G, 1A) and Tyden Lafournaise swapped goals in the third and Cole Prelusky (30/32) finished with 30 saves as CIHA got revenge on SAHA for yesterday’s loss.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy Green (0) Female U18 Prep
Maive Gosselin Berg (21/21) made 21 saves for her second shutout in a row and third in four games this season as OHA defeated Delta Green 1-0. Gosselin Berg and Jillian Matthews (27/28) kept the game scoreless heading into the second period. Emma Deleurme would score a power play goal, her third goal of the season, 13:35 into the second period to give OHA the only goal they would need. Berg and Matthews kept clean sheets again in the third as the game ended 1-0 in favour of OHA.
Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (2) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (3) Female U18 Prep
Emma Biros and Lylah Dietz recorded power play goals for their respective teams as the game was tied 1-1 going into the second. Tied 1-1 late in the second, Haley Waugh (2G) scored two goals in 15 seconds to close out the second and give Delta Black the lead going into the final period. Alice Rapp would score early in the third to close the gap and give OHA Black hopes of a third period comeback but Sonja Reed (24/26) shut the door the rest of the way to secure the Delta Black victory.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (8) U15
Woojin Seo (3G, 1A) recorded a hat-trick while Antonio Cipllaka (2G) scored twice to give Delta Black a dominant 8-1 win. Lukas Kravcak, Ryder Miller (1G, 1A) and Beckam Skrypnyk scored the other goals for Delta Black in the win. Brayden Lindsay scored the lone PCHA goal beating Luc Wilson-Kurenoff (30/31) in the third period.
St. George’s School (2) vs BWC Academy (1) U18 Prep
The lone first period goal from Amadeo Sim gave St. George’s a 1-0 lead. Charlie Weaver scored his fourth of the season late in the second as his team led 2-0 after 40. Lukas Lima would score with 1:50 left to give BWC Academy late life but Carter Adams (26/27) shut the door the rest of the way to secure the St. George’s victory.
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (9) U17 Prep
RHA Kelowna outshot CDA 80-15 en route to a 9-2 win Friday. Defenseman Ronin Martin (2G, 3A) led all skaters with five points while Joshua Johnstone (2G, 1A) scored twice and Hudson Podollan (1G, 3A) had three assists. Shawn Haynes and Brody Payne scored for CDA in the loss.
