Okanagan Hockey Academy vs Ulysse Academie

The #2 seed in the East and host program Ulysse Academie (Saint-Roch-de-l’Achigan, QC) will take on #4 seed Okanagan Hockey Academy (Penticton, BC) in the first featured game at the inaugural CSSHL East West Challenge.

After winning 2 CSSHL Championships in 2025, OHA’s 10 CSSHL Championships trails only Edge School (11) and Northern Alberta Xtreme (11) for most in CSSHL history. With seven teams in the CSSHL, OHA has produced 70 total WHL Draft picks, sixth most in CSSHL history.

Ulysse Academie joined the CSSHL in 2023-24 and after hosting the 2025 CSSHL Eastern Championships, will host the East West Challenge and the 2026 CSSHL Eastern Championships. Ulysse is yet to win a CSSHL Championship but made the semi-finals last season

Delta Hockey Academy vs Bourget College

The defending 2025 CSSHL East Champions and #3 seed Bourget College (Rigaud, QC) will take on 2025 CSSHL West Championship Finalists and #5 seed Delta Hockey Academy (Delta, BC).

Delta joined the CSSHL in 2013-14 and currently operates nine teams within the league, more than any other CSSHL member. Delta is tied with OHA having won 10 CSSHL Championships, including two in 2025. A program that has produced 15 NHL Draft picks and a CSSHL record 112 WHL Draft picks including 2015 WHL Draft first overall pick Ty Smith, Delta won their last U18 Prep Western Championship in 2016.

Having joined the CSSHL in 2019/20 as an original member of the East Division, Bourget’s three CSSHL Championships, including two East U18 Championships, are the most among all East Division teams.

Okanagan Hockey Academy vs Stanstead College

One of the oldest programs in the East in #1 seed Stanstead College (Stanstead, QC), will take on a CSSHL founding member in #4 seed Okanagan Hockey Academy (Penticton, BC).

OHA was a founding member of the CSSHL during the 2009-10 season alongside Banff Hockey Academy (now South Alberta Hockey Academy), Edge School, Pursuit of Excellence (now RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna) and Swiss International Sports & Education Centre (now Calgary International Hockey Academy).

During the inaugural 2009-10 season the five sport schools made up eight total teams spread across two divisions. Since then, the CSSHL has expanded to feature 38 Accredited Schools/Schools with Residence and 129 teams in eight different divisions.

“It’s always good to face different teams from Eastern Canada or the states, it’s different competition,” added OHA Head Coach Robert Dirk. “Something fun, something new, something different. Stanstead is pretty established and has been around a long time like ourselves. There’s definitely some bragging rights on the line.”

Originally established in 1872, Stanstead joined the CSSHL in 2024/25, having an immediate impact as their U17 Prep team won the 2025 CSSHL Eastern U17 Championship.

Stanstead Head Coach Matthew Thompson re-iterated the message of Dirk, saying “we live in a large country and because of that there is little opportunity for teams from Central or Eastern Canada to interact with teams from the Prairies to the West Coast. As a coach I always look forward to playing new competition and being able to provide unique experiences for our players. Our game against OHA Penticton sees us play an original member of the CSSHL that has a strong brand within Western Canada. This should be a wonderful match-up.”

Sunday, February 8, 2026 – 5:15pm EST: Complexe JC Perreault – Rink 1

Sunday will see the top four teams in the round robin advance to the semi-finals at 9:00 and 9:15am EST. The winners of each game will head to the finals that evening, at 5:00pm EST.
